Aliante Makes Holidays Bright with “Operation Warmheart”

Since 2012, team members at Aliante Casino Hotel and Spa have been spreading joy at Nellis and Creech Air Force bases each holiday season with “Operation Warmheart.” The annual toy drive brings in hundreds of toys each November and December, and delivers them to deserving air force families in need.

“In 2012, we wanted to show our support for our service men and women and their families, so we reached out to the air force base and asked how we could help,” said Kris O’Brien, Advertising and Public Relations Manager at Aliante, who has organized the drive each year since 2012. “The base told us about their program, Operation Warmheart, and we’ve participated every year since.”

Operation Warmheart is a non-profit organization established to receive, manage and distribute charitable funds to service members and families living in the Nellis and Creech communities.

Aliante team members and customers alike donate brand-new toys for all ages to the organization each year, and the response gets bigger and better every holiday season.

“Our guests and team members are very generous with their donations,” said O’Brien. “This year, the representatives from Operation Warmheart were in disbelief at how much we had collected – they were very happy!”

Operation Warmheart is one of the many ways Aliante shows its support for Nellis Air Force Base – in fact, the property’s restaurant Bistro 57 is an homage to the most diverse US Air Force wing and home to advanced air combat training – the 57th regiment – located at Nellis Air Force Base.

The property also offers a variety of discounted and free dining offers for active, inactive and retired military service members throughout the year, in addition to supporting military events, such as the Nellis and Creech Military Appreciation Day.

“We’re so grateful for all of the Aliante customers and team members who supported this great cause,” said Kerrie Burke, Vice President and General Manager of Aliante. “Thank you for helping us show our support for our military men and women, and making the holidays brighter for deserving families in our community."
