BILOXI, Miss.—Rock legends The Cult will bring their legendary hits to IP CASINO RESORT SPA’s Studio A on Friday, May 19.
Formed in 1983, The Cult is a British rock band started their rise to fame in the U.K. in the mid-1980’s as a post-punk and gothic band. The group introduced a hard rock sound as their career continued to evolve, and they achieved international success as their popularity spread to the United States. The Cult became well known for their hits “She Sells Sanctuary,” “Love Removal Machine” and “Fire Woman.” The band’s success continued throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s despite occasional hiatuses and changes in the group’s lineup.
Most recently in 2016, the band released the album “Hidden City.” The band’s lineup includes original members Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, as well as Grant Fitzpatrick, Damon Fox and John Tempesta.
