Country Music Supergroup The Oak Ridge Boys Perform at IP July 21

Biloxi, Miss.—Country music heavy hitters The Oak Ridge Boys will perform over 60 years of country and gospel hits at IP CASINO RESORT SPA’s Studio A on Friday, July 21.

The band, originally founded in 1945 as the Oak Ridge Quartet, rose to fame in the mid-1950’s when they were featured in Time Magazine as one of the top gospel groups of the time. In the early 1960’s, the group changed their named to the Oak Ridge Boys, remaining a gospel-oriented group until the mid-1970’s. Their style evolved to include more elements of country and pop music over the years, but they still hold strong to their roots. The group has been honored with a wide variety of awards, including Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, CMA Awards and much more. 

The current lineup consists of lead Duane Allen, tenor Joe Bonsall, baritone William Lee Golden, and bass Richard Sterban, backed by the “Mighty Oaks” band.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors open one hour prior to the show. Tickets start at $30 plus tax and convenience fees.
