Boyd Gaming team members in Nevada have the opportunity to apply for an income-based scholarship through the AAA Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit state approved scholarship organization, which assists with funding private school education for K-12 students.
The AAA Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships of up to $7,500 to Nevada’s disadvantaged students, providing the opportunity to attend an eligible private school that best meets their learning needs. The scholarship program also provides grants of up to $700 to help students who attend public schools, including charter schools, with their transportation costs if the school does not provide transportation for the student.
Heidi Maldonado, a parent whose son is a recipient of an AAA scholarship, said this scholarship opportunity has helped her son tremendously. “The AAA scholarship enabled my son to attend a school that challenges and engages him, which has renewed his enthusiasm for learning while excelling in school,” said Maldonado “We are truly grateful for donors like Boyd Gaming that make these opportunities possible for our family and so many others.”
