Alyson McKean – Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino – Regional Manager of Digital Media and Social Engagement for the Midwest and South Regions

On the Job: Alyson McKean started her career with Boyd Gaming sixteen years ago, working as a Cocktail Server at Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino while studying in college. As she continued to grow and gain experience in the gaming industry, McKean advanced in her career holding the following positions: Promotions Intern, Media Buyer/Planner, Graphic Designer, Internal Communications Manager and Advertising and Internal Communications Manager.
This year, McKean was promoted to Regional Manager, Digital Media and Social Engagement, serving Boyd Gaming properties in the Midwest, South and East Regions.
As the new Regional Manager, Digital Media and Social Engagement, McKean’s main objective is to support the Company’s Midwest, South, and East properties by providing digital advertising, social media, and reputation management services to further promote the great offerings at each casino hotel. McKean says it has been an exciting first six months and she looks forward to learning and growing in this position.
With several years of experience under her belt, McKean has learned a great deal in each position she’s held. One of the biggest lessons she’s learned is that there is significant value in learning new skills in diverse areas of work.
“In my 16 years with Boyd Gaming, I have had the opportunity to work in four different departments,” said McKean. “Through this experience, I’ve learned how to identify and meet needs, create more efficient processes and build my knowledge in gaming operations. I’ve also been able to build many relationships that have brought me to my current role.”
Michael Strong, Director, Digital Media and Social Engagement, is excited to have McKean on the digital media and social engagement team.
“As a seasoned property leader with more than a decade of Boyd Gaming knowledge, Alyson will bring us insights about property life, the priorities of our counterparts in the Midwest, South, and East, and a fresh take on key initiatives,” said Strong. “It’s an honor to work with someone who’s truly dedicated to serving our properties and putting their needs first. In her first quarter on the team, Alyson has had an indelible impact on our understanding of property needs, which makes our entire team more efficient, and more cognizant of how we can best serve our properties.”
After Hours: Outside of work, McKean likes to enjoy the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and boating with her kids and husband. She also likes to tap into her artistic side by drawing and painting during her free time.
Sandi Neuman – Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa – Cage and Credit Manager

On the Job: Sandi Neuman began her career with Boyd Gaming in 1988 as a Cage Cashier at the legendary Stardust Resort and Casino that was formerly located on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Throughout her 30-year career with the Company, Neuman has advanced in her role with promotions, working at several Boyd Gaming properties, including Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Tunica, Mississippi and the California Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This past February, Neuman was promoted to Cage and Credit Manager at Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa.
As Aliante’s Cage and Credit Manager, Neuman oversees the daily operation of the Casino Cage and Credit Departments, leading a group of talented team members. Neuman is responsible for protecting the assets of the property, ensuring the departments are following all Company and state policies and procedures. She enjoys interacting with several departments, working with various team members daily.
“It is fun to come to work each day knowing that I have a great cage team working beside me; they are truly one-of-a-kind,” said Neuman.
With three decades of experience at Boyd Gaming, Neuman has learned to always remain accessible and approachable to both guests and team members alike. She has also learned that there are many opportunities for growth within the Company.
“With Aliante recently joining the Boyd Gaming family, I hope my fellow colleagues will see my experience as an example of what an exceptional company Boyd Gaming is to work for and grow with,” said Neuman. “I want my team to know that I’m here to help them grow in their careers as well.”
Aliante’s Director of Finance Jim Fremont says Neuman’s wealth of knowledge and years of experience with Boyd Gaming make her a great addition to the team.
“Sandi’s many years of experience with Boyd Gaming have made her uniquely qualified to lead our cage operations as we strive to transition into standardized company policies and practices,” said Fremont. “In addition, Sandi has clearly demonstrated the type of reliable judgement needed during difficult situations, which is a hallmark of a good Cage and Credit Manager. Without a doubt, we’re very happy she’s a member of the Aliante Team!”
After Hours: In her off time, Neuman loves to spend time with her family and her Lhasa Apso, Skylar. Neuman has also recently discovered she loves cruises and has been on three of them in the last couple of years.
