Supergroup The Temptations Bring Motown Sound to the Kansas Star Casino Event Center May 30

MULVANE, Kan.— The Temptations, known worldwide for a string of hits including "My Girl" and "Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” bring the quintessential Motown sound to the Kansas Star Casino Event Center May 30.

The Temptations were the first Motown act to win a Grammy award, racking up a total of four to date. The group began their musical life in Detroit in the early sixties, rocketing to stardom with “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” written and produced by Smokey Robinson. An avalanche of hits followed, including “It’s Growing,” “Since I Lost My Baby,” “Get Ready,” “Beauty Is Only Skin Deep,” “I Wish It Would Rain" and many more.

The lineup of greats include original member Otis Williams with Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Joe Herndon and Bruce Williamson. The group received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
