Dick Fox's Golden Boys return to IP July 17

BILOXI, Miss. —Dick Fox’s Golden Boys, starring Frankie Avalon, Fabian Forte and Bobby Rydell will take the stage at IP CASINO RESORT & SPA’s Studio A on Saturday, July 17.

The Golden Boys, a group of the most popular teen idols of the late ‘50s and ‘60s. Avalon’s music career spans three generations, starting with his first single, “De De Dinah.” Some of their greatest hits include “Venus,” “Bobby Sox to Stockings,” “Volare,” “Wild One,” and “Kissin’ Time.” Rydell’s career started in movies like “Bye Bye Birdie” and “West Side Story” and was celebrated for his semi-regular appearances on shows like “The Red Skelton Show” and “American Bandstand.” Forte was discovered at the age of 14 sitting on his front steps, and went on to create hits like “Turn Me Loose” and “Tiger.”

The show unites these three performers who emerged from the same south Philadelphia neighborhood at the same time and went on to become world-renowned personalities. Veteran producer Dick Fox originated the idea in 1985 and the boys have been packing venues throughout the country since. Ironically, these three stars had never performed together prior.
