Boyd Gaming team members flexed their creative muscles by submitting unique designs for the 2016-17 “Live United” United Way t-shirt contest.
The Companywide contest began in April when each property submitted its preferred t-shirt design, created by one of the property’s team members and voted on by its respective property campaign coordinator, human resources director and general manager. From there, the top three designs across the Company were featured on the online contest site where team members reviewed the designs and t-shirt color options before casting their vote for their favorite.
The three finalists included Kristina Hochrein, Line Cook at Diamond Jo Dubuque; Ian Olimberio, IT Specialist at the Corporate office; and Julie Fanguy, Cage Shift Supervisor at Amelia Belle. Hochrein took the top spot and $400 for her winning design; Olimberio placed second and received $200; and Fanguy took third place and $100.
“We are excited and honored to have one of our Dubuque-based team members place in the top three for the second year in a row,” said Josh Yeltman, Director of Human Resources at Diamond Jo. “This contest is a fun way to embrace the design talents of many of our team members.”
Thank you to all team members who participated in this year’s contest!
