Boyd Gaming Creative Services Team Members Recognized with Company Awards

Boyd Gaming honored four team members earlier this year with awards for their extraordinary services.

Three of the internal awards went to Boyd Gaming Creative Services (BCS) team members. The three artists won BCS Design of the Year Awards for creating the best designs of the year for their team.

The winners were as follows:

  • Graphic Designer Abbie Steil was awarded first place for the Willie & Jose’s Restaurant branding for Ameristar Kansas City.

“Abbie’s winning design is top agency level; fun, colorful, exciting and so well done,” said Director of Creative Services Tanya Maiers. “Restaurant brands are some of the most coveted projects for the BCS team to work on and where we do some of our best work.”

  • Senior Designer Jessica Ambrosy won second place for her 2020 B Connected Players Club special event invites.

“Jessica’s skill as a designer is apparent in this exceptional design,” said Maiers. “Sophisticated and unique for an exclusive event for our guests."

  • Graphic Designer Calcie Hanson received third place for her Kings & Queens Royal Ball invitation at Diamond Jo Worth.

“Calcie's design is fun, special and fitting for a team member event,” said Maiers. “Calcie showcases her creativity in this piece and all pieces she creates!"

This year’s contest was judged by Vice President of Brand Management Sara McLean, Vice President of Marketing Services Matt Bunyan and Regional Vice President of Marketing Blair Bendel.

“We were excited to offer this contest to the design teams this year, and had some of the best judges in the Company weigh in on the best of BCS’ designs,” said Maiers, adding, “I am so amazed by the talent of the winners and the award-winning designs the BCS team creates on a daily basis.”

In addition to the BCS Design of the Year Awards, Executive Account Manager Tiffany Vannatta-Guzak was awarded the Boyd Gaming Team Member of the Quarter Award from Boyd Gaming Corporate.

“Tiffany has a dedicated work ethic and brings to us years of property marketing experience that is invaluable to the team,” said Maiers. “She is a wonderful example of what it means to have Boyd Style.”

Nominated by Boyd Gaming Director of Loyalty, Ashlen Manos, this win was a first for the Dubuque Corporate office.

“The fact that this is an internally nominated award makes it that much more of an honor,” said Vannatta-Guzak. “I work with so many talented and inspiring people who have been an integral part of my success and equally deserve the recognition.  I have always worked really hard, but Boyd is the first company I have ever worked for where I have felt truly appreciated for my dedication; and that appreciation means more than I can express.”
